ACCLAMATION X MEET MARHABA FILLY
Trainer: Eve Johnson Houghton (Blewbury, Oxon)
This beautiful filly was purchased at Goffs Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster, where we felt that she represented exceptional value for money. She is a very forward-going, attractive and strong filly with a good walk. She is a daughter of the high-class stallion Acclamation, a top-class sprinter himself and the sire of many top-drawer sprinters like Dark Angel, Equiano and Aclaim, also the dual Group 1-winning sprinter Marsha (this filly is bred on the same cross as Marsha being out of a Marju mare). This filly is currently unnamed and all owners will be invited make name suggestions.
Progress Update "This filly arrived back from the sales in late August and has enjoyed a good break since. She is now in pre-training and is expected to join her trainer early in the New Year, ready for a hopefully early start to the season, as she looks a strong type who is expected to be active on the racecourse at two."
Her sire: ACCLAMATION was a high-class sprinter who raced from two to four. He won three times at two, over five furlongs a Sandown and Newbury, before winning the £200,000 St Leger Yearling Stakes over six furlongs. As an older horse he won a Listed race over six furlongs at Goodwood and his greatest triumph came in the Group 2 Diadem Stakes at Ascot (six furlongs). His success as a sire cannot be questioned, to date his success rate is 59% winners to runners on the Flat and his best horses include Dark Angel, Marsha, Equiano, Aclaim, Expert Eye, Harbour Watch, Lilbourne Lad, Mehmas and Saayerr.

Her dam: MEET MARHABA is by the classy stallion Marju and she is a half-sister to the two-year-old winner Yaseer who was placed third in the Group 3 Craven Stakes at three. Meet Marhaba is out of the dual Listed-winning dam Tadris and comes from the family of the smart sprinter Hot Streak as well as Champion racehorses Height Of Fashion and Nashwan.
